Current Version:
Config select v3.1 - 24.10.2017
About:
This is a script which lets you choose between up to 10 (different)
programs to start from, called 'servers'.
For each server up to 10 start paths can be chosen, called 'projects'.
For each project, the user can choose from up to 10 configuration settings.
For each configuration setting, the script copies up to 10 files or
directories (including subdirectories) into specified folders and then runs the
server file from a specified run path.
The run path is almost the same as setting the "start in" in a
shortcut.
By nesting additional Config Select scripts
and .ini files in subfolders you can have one script
run another, adding additional selection levels as desired.
All settings are made in the config.ini, which should be
self-explanatory for the most part. When I feel the script is really finished I
might
actually make a decent help file :-)
Uses:
This script can be used in any case where files are to be copied before
running a program.
For example: I wrote this script to start the CAD software at work with the
option to be able to select multiple different configurations for each customer
and each project.
